The league is full and good luck everyone.

Post your 1979 comment here. We can begin with the Draft.

Remember no trading til round 27.

I will do the trade reviews for 1979. Next season I hope to have our Competition Committee in place. Any GM can ask for a trade review. Remember don't spam reviews and dont be shy about asking for one and most importantly dont take offense to anyone that requests a review or if a review doesn't go your way. Just roll up the sleeves and work another deal if you wish.
Please post a review request in the correct trade thread. The review result will also be post there.

Rookie GM's = please ask questions either on the boards or via pm. The more you understand this game the more fun it is.

This is the place for "Good Game" posts.

Good luck and enjoy. Let the party begin.

With the 1st pick in the Paydirt B League Allocation Draft, the Springfield Twisters will be selecting...

CB Larry Jolly

The Twisters are in love with Jolly's low volatility providing them with a safe player with as high of upside as there is in the allocation draft. Especially with how important DB's are in the game of MFN, he's got the combination of Talent, Age, and Positional Importance teams should look for when picking in the early rounds of the allocation draft. With Jolly currently above weight by 7% he should move nicely into the 95 speed, which is the max for CB's. An already developed Punish Receiver along with a decently developed B&R should allow him to be a great player regardless of how Training Camp goes. He also provides the team with one of if not the most valuable things this Springfield team looks for in an allocation draft as well and that's age. The fact that Jolly's only 23 means he'll have a long and productive career with the team. Deservedly so, CB Larry Jolly will be the 1st overall pick in this upcoming allocation draft.

This is the time for GM's to decide if they want to go young, win now or a strategic mix.

Are you going to build a monster defense, a high flying offense, a ground pounding offense or a mix.

Rookie Tip:
(maybe some of the vets can also chime in)

To rookie GM's, try not to draft randomly. Decide on how you want to build your team and draft to fit your strategy. A basic and vague tip. Note to pay special attention to a players talent for their position = speed - acceleration - strength. Speed for RB, WR, DE, LB and DB are important. Anything below 70 is slow for RB's, WR's LB's and DB's. Strength is important for C, G, T, DT DE and LB are important. After this then look at their skills such as tackling, pass rush, man to man, zone etc.... before deciding on that player. Ignore a players overall rating. It can deceive you. And most importantly, have fun....

CB Larry Jolly goes #1 and a beast of a DE goes #2 in Nathan Clark.
And a big QB being made in the first round.

I waited on a certain position set which got a lot of play early. I sort of didn't want to go that way there, however, I'm a determined type. I think I can make the player work through repetition and stubbornness. :)

Dispersal drafts are the most fun in the game.

Now that the first 4-5 rounds are done you can start to see teams draft strategies. Fun to watch from this end.
